Patrick came to Zermatt from New York with one wish: to propose to Jane with the Matterhorn in the background. The original plan was Rotenboden, but the weather had other ideas, so we postponed to the evening. I stayed close to the two of them, incognito, and in the village of Zermatt, with the Matterhorn peeking through the clouds, Patrick finally got down on one knee.

After the yes came a bouquet chosen to match Jane's ring, a champagne toast and some relaxed portraits around the snowy village as evening fell.
