Max wanted to propose to Irina with the Matterhorn in full view, and he happily left most of the planning to me. After a day on the slopes, the two of them headed up the mountain on a crisp January afternoon, and Max knelt down in the snow while I captured the moment from my hiding spot.

Irina's reaction was pure joy, and a bouquet of red roses and a glass of champagne followed soon after. Then we explored the winter wonderland around us, from wide-open snowfields to quiet forest paths, while the late afternoon light turned the Matterhorn golden.
